Communications solution provider PhoneFusion has announced that Android OS and T-mobile G1 will have the Visual Voicemail capability. The application will be available by the end of this year. The service will let users to see graphical representation of their voicemail inbox which is sorted out in sequence by the caller.
According to PhoneFusion’s CEO, Louis Libin:
Adobe unveiled a new version of mobile version of Flash which is leaner, faster, smart phone-aimed version of Flash 10. The new version is optimized for ARM processors like the one used in the iPhone.
But Steve Jobs and Co are feeling hesitant to put it in the IPhone meanwhile Google’s G1 and future Android smartphones will likely soon be getting the update, either over the air or in Google’s store.

Veveo, a video solutions company, introduces WikiTap for the iPhone and Android smartphones, to help users work faster on Wikipedia. The app is free to use, and helps find the most relevant Wikipedia search results. On the other hand WikiTap is not just another way to access Wikipedia, but it is about an improved experience by uploading photos and videos to the article.

Apparently a loop hole has provided XDA Developers forum to find a way to gain root access to root of the T-Mobile G1 phone. The PTerminal application, available for download from the Android Market, in the phone grants access to this method. One can use it to start a telnet connection if you own a G1, and a computer. This can be tagged as a jailbreak as this is a hack, and well, there’s no other term for it, is there? While the App Store had reportedly sold out more than 10 million apps in just days since the launch of iPhone 3G, Google’s G1 has faced some challenges. That doesn’t mean it has failed, no way, the applications that have been downloaded in a space of one week have almost touched three million.
With the number of applications almost trebled from fifty at the launch it appears that G1 users are more keen at taking in games and applications related to the lifestyle and media. Overall the report puts the G1 at an ok position and perhaps the reason why Google hasn’t really made it big with the apps is primarily due to negligence and the obvious presence of the iPhone.
