Tokoni, a social site that allows users to share stories, has finally come out of beta after nearly an year. eBay has backed Tokoni with investing. The idea behind Tokoni is to create an online community where individual stories can be shared and valued.

The adult-focused site is rather a community than a social network, and is aimed at the users that haven’t yet caught the habit of blogging or the Twitter craze.

Tokoni has partnered with WomenCount.org to provide a forum for women to discuss political issues, and with the U.S. presidential election approaching that’s bound to round up quite a few users.
