PowerPoint is almost a DE-FACTO standard for making and running presentation almost anywhere on the Blue Planet. And yes indeed Office 2007 PowerPoint is rich in UI and features. But OpenOffice isn’t far behind as well, with it’s version 3 just popping out from the oven this October. But what if now that you’re tired of making the same old presentations with the same old templates available on Microsoft Office?
Well here comes SlideRocket to the RESCUE!!! SlideRocketOne of the most impressive Flex-based applications out there, SlideRocket, is now open for anyone to go and sign up.
Using Adobe AIR, Slide rocket have provided a free version which lets you have up to 250MB of storage and gives you the basic online editor functionality. As for business users there are a couple of tiers – one for individuals and one for a group of people at a company – containing more advanced features like collaboration and access to the offline presentation viewer.
The good part being that SlideRocket also has some partners leveraging users to purchase stock photography etc which is a cool feature itself. And what about those SWF files, yes SlideRocket helps you integrate them as well (How cool is that).
As I mentioned that Microsoft announced it’s online version of office in the PDC, I am definitely sue PowerPoint will have pretty tough time competing with SlideRocket and let alone Google Apps.
I loved SlideRocket.You?
