After ages of trouble and moments of despair, AOL Time Warner has at last made up its mind to remove AOL from its name. The name had been so since Time Warner acquired AOL. CEO, Richard D. Parsons approved the step along with the entire board and considered it to bring an end to any confusion associated to our corporate name and AOL.
The name change sounds easy but it involves certain complications like those associated with the change of stock ticker from AOL to TWX as well as bearing the costs associated with changing signs at every Time Warner location including the new headquarter at Columbus Circle, Manhattan.
This could have very well dented the morale of the employees had it not been the suggestion from Jonathan F. Miller, named CEO for the division requested the same. Mr. Parsons added to this by stating that the company has taken steps and has done a lot to inject a higher morale into its employees.
What ever the case be, things finally appear to be heading off for some steadiness.
