When Carol Bartz talked about a possibility of selling Yahoo only for Boatloads of money, little did I know that Yahoo is as desperate for cash as Microsoft is to beat Google at search with Bing. Cash is so low that Yahoo has decided to shut down Yahoo 360, it’s attempt at social networking. Jokes apart, the real reason is quite different, the attempt didn’t really tick off as had been expected and the announcement for the shut down has been delayed only provide its users a chance to backup their data. Yahoo 360 officially shuts down on July 13 and follows Yahoo Mash and Geocities along with numerous others that have seen the shutters pulled down on them.
