Ambient News news is a new Firefox add-on that enables you get RSS feeds with some style. Atul Varma, the Mozilla developer behind the add-on says that teh add-on is an self learning one. It tracks your browsing habits, learning which sites you visit most frequently. Then the add-on automatically creates a list of the latest headline from those sites and display them to you in a list.
Michael Calore of Wired notes says,
Many people don’t know what it is or how to take advantage of it. The first hint that a feed exists is a funky orange or blue icon. Click on it and, in most cases, you get prompted to load another application. Sometimes, you just see ugly, raw XML output.
The only thing I found a little bit fussed about was the add-on is going to record my stuff, hence a matter of privacy concern pops up.
What do you think?
