After almost three days of hard work, Media Temple has at last breathed life back in to Startup Meme. The problem was due to some issues at Media Temple’s Grid Servers and around 2,500 sites had been affected worldwide and had also been encountered a couple of months back. The server is presently transitioning its GS, Cluster .01 and .02 customers to its new Gen 2 storage architecture. The reason why Startup Meme has taken three days to get back up is because Media Temple focused at moving smaller sized sites to the newer architecture each of which took an average of 15 seconds or less. And while all this has cost Startup Meme a lot in terms of not providing its loyal readers with content, we are glad that we are up after an extended downtime and hope the best from the Media Temple’s team understanding fully the issues at their end as well that such downtimes will not happen again, especially for such long durations.
We at Startup Meme will be once again providing our readers content and appreciate all the patience with which they have borne the global outage that affected us as well.

Good to see startupmeme.com is back
. One strange thing that i observe today is, on most your previous posts from 4th May and back, all the images are unable to load correctly either, or seems like Media Temple is not able to move all of your data. Hope this will also be resolved soon.

Thanks a lot mate and thanks for pointing the issue as well. The problem is with Media Temple as you stated. I guess there is still some time before the entire site is back to its 100%. Hope that Media Temple resolves all these issues.
