The Linux Foundation has named Ted Ts’o the new CTO of the foundation. Ts’o is known as Linux Kernal’s first North American developer. According to the foundation, he is seen as one of the most regarded member of the Linux open-source community. He has earlier worked at IBM as a senior technical staff member and as a project leader for the Kerberos authentication system.

In an statement Ts’o said:

I’m looking forward to translating that power into concrete milestones for the LSB specifically and for Linux overall in the year ahead.
