Mashable is reporting that the acquisition of Personal Bee by Technorati is now confirmed. Personal Bee is a service that lets you personalize your news, so Technorati might be going the road of personalization in terms of searches conducted on its Blog Search Engine.

Personal Bee is a media collection platform that enables the each of us to curate and publish our own personal sites around topics, issues, or anything else we choose. It lets anyone (that means you) create and update collections of interesting citizen and mainstream media, publish them to a personal or public page, and start a following.

This might be a way to attract more search traffic tough, as Social sites like Personal Bee are a great way to boost this, because of their inherent interactive social nature. But this at the same time would be another distraction to Technorati´s core business, Blog Search. I guess this is precisely why Technorati´s board wants a new CEO, i.e to bring more focus and coherence in Technorati.

The amount and terms of the deal has not been disclosed as yet.

Update:
Technorati has confirmed the deal but still has not disclosed the details of the acquisition.
