iCharts is a newly incubated service that aims to make interactive charting simple. The service claims to be the YouTube for interactive charts and allows users to pull their self-created data from Excel/Spreadsheets and upload it directly to iCharts. Users can also drag and drop the data to the chart from the repository of collected data.
The startup goes live at TC50, offers various features that helps users to make a true interactive chart for their business models. The building tool allows you to access data sets from the centralized doc list and the Live preview lets you see the chart before publishing it. Every iChart includes Controls in its bottom, that help users to zoom in and highlight the data, along with the modification capabilities.
The most interesting feature is, you can attach a short audio files with every iChart to make it more expressive. Users can embed their charts in the form of widgets in all flash supported services like Powerpoint Presentations and can make it publicly available by placing widgets on their sites or blogs.
Charts that are set ‘public’ can be viewed by everyone. iCharts supports search engine optimization and therefore, all the charts are automatically optimised to be viewed as images by the web surfers.
