Fitbit has launched a wearable tiny miny device at TC 50, that has everything that it takes to become your very own fitness trainer. All you need to do is to wear the device on your jeans or t-shirt and it would then send your motion data to the Fitbit servers in an encrypted stream.

The server translates this motion data into intensity levels and calculates the calories burned in the process, the quality of your sleep, and a lot of other things. You don’t have to do a single thing except to keep moving the way you have always been.

In case you want to know your activity levels all you need to do is to click a button on the Fitbit tracker and it would respond you back via an iconic message to let you know if you are on track for the day. Clicking the button again will get you the number of calories burned so far, and than the steps taken and then the distance covered.

All you need to do is wear the device round the clock, and combine it with your calorie intake data that you would provide online at the Fitbit web site and here you go, you have your complete fitness picture. So in case you ever dreamed about having a drill down on your fitness right up to the calorie levels, well than may be you don’t have to dream anymore.

The company is based in San Francisco, California and has raised $425,000 in angel funding till now. Just so that you know, the founder has already lost 15 pounds by using the device.
