Midway Games appears to have lady luck more than just being kind on it as Warner Bros. will pay $49 Million. The earlier price was set at $33 Million but the court had ruled that the price could be changed, which is exactly what has happened. Along with this, Warner Bros. will also have to shut down Chicago HQ of Midway , which means the obvious layoff of the 60 employees working there. The layoffs will also hit around 75 employees at its studio in Newcastle U.K. While the price fetched is quite high, given that Midway Games had gone bankrupt, but the 135 employees laid off will be busy searching for new jobs.
