If there ever were a video/animation to best describe the present Steve Jobs / Apple story this one from Japan is set to be a winner. Super cool, especially the last part when Jobs chops off the iPhone user’s fingers to resolve the signal issue and how they are hooked to AT&T. Quite some Apple thrashing I must say, is this winning a nominee for the best bashing video?
Apple hates Adobe and no matter how essential has Flash become for the Web, Apple has it own personal score to settle with it. Well this could have caused a lot of trouble with viewing videos on Facebook, our beloved social network. Today that changes as the social network decided to find its our work around method to enable its users to watch videos on the iPad.
News across the Web that the social networking platform was using the HTML 5 compatibility to enable users view videos but that is not the case. The platform is saving itself the burden of evolving into the newer format, rather converting the videos to .MP4, the format we are all aware of and see widely played on mobile device and the Web. This had to happen, I mean the social network is definitely a must have for everyone and if iPad were to suffer the angst of Apple and leave its users missing the fun of social networking on the device.
The region I am in, April 1st is a little over 10 minutes away and I am almost ready ready to receive a plethora of messages from everywhere trying to fool me and everyone alike. I just thought about giving April Fool a search and surprisingly there was only one group. You can follow the link here to become a a fan of the page (or Like it if the social network pushes the changes anytime soon).
The page has over 8,000 fans, which to be honest is very low for a subject of this sort. As of now the current message reads that a random person will be chosen from the group and targeted for a prank, at least that is what I perceive. The page is an example of the many we see that rise to fame owing to some occasion and craze and then dying down. To be honest there isn’t really something interesting as of now on the page except for random posts and discussion and it by no means gives an impression of being a page for April Fool.
It has grown and has grown bigger everyday. Now it almost sounds clichéd when I say that and many would simply not read it any further. But the fact stands that social network has opened up new venues and methods for services to grow and more importantly spread.
I always find it interesting to browse through YouTube for funny videos on anything. Just thought about performing a similar search for Funny Facebook videos, though the results were filled with many useless videos I found the song worth sharing. It might not be very funny or meaningful, but it does gives visuals to the addiction that people have for the social network.
While the rap song had been put up back in 2008, it can still be applied to the present urge users have to keep spending time on the social network. I mean now it is even higher thanks to the countless reasons, from addictive games like Mafia Wars, Farmville to the numerous groups you can be a part of. The addiction is definitely more than what it was yesterday and less then what it will be tomorrow. Let me not stretch the word count here and leave our readers to enjoy the video:
I seriously don’t want to imagine the world without Internet, primarily because it would cut me off from the entire world and blogging. The second reason being it would make my job as a researcher in my channel a very tiring task. No matter what horror it brings for us all, some find it pretty useful to think over and actually produce segments. I particularly liked the way how it has been put up, especially the Facebook guy. Watch the video below and let us know what your life will be if there was no Internet in comments.
