We might have Apple working on what could possibly be a web based diagnostic tool for the numerous iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. Oh and of course the Macs and the iMacs too. I think all the hints at the iCloud, indicate the importance of the similar service, who likes heading over o the Genius Bar to get your iPhone 4 fixed?

P0sixninja has thrown the news of a working iPad 2 jailbreak in a little over two weeks, something that has been anticipated for quite a long time. The jailbreak is expected to be of the same nature as the methods used in earlier releases.
This simply translates to the fact that current hacks will be in use and the DFU mode will be mainstay. The release of the jailbreak will also make it possible for all futures iOS 4.3 versions will be supported. Those of you who are willing to be a part of the most hyped event in relation to jailbreaking devices, MyGreatFest is where you must be heading on to. The jailbreak conference is set to take place on the the 17th of September and will feature key speakers and guests from the Jailbreak community.
EduTecher is a free social web resource for teachers and students. Users are encouraged to explore, share, and contribute links and descriptions of free web tools that will be useful in an academic setting. Guess this isn’t a new bit as everyone is on the lookout for online tools to make life easier.
EduTecher enables teachers to create personal learning networks and connect with other users. Just like any social network it is a way to connect with people and tools that are more academic in nature, allowing members to post their own blog or participate in forums all focused around the successful implementation of educational technology. The idea as I see it, is to get the academics more closely associated to the Internet and Web, from their blog:
We have been talking quite a lot about the iOS 4.3 on Startup Meme and thought it was time that we shared a method on how to jailbreak the iOS 4.3 for the iPad. This method is at present tethered only meaning that you will have to boot the device into jailbreak mode each time you restart your device.
Our friends had earlier talked about the issue associated to iBooks. The problem was with the iBook app that doesn’t let users open digital books if the iPhone or other iOS device is jailbroken on the iOS 4.2.1. This happens because the iBooks app checks if the OS enabled it to run an unsigned binary file and if it did it prevented the book from opening.
The release of the Verizon iPhone 4 is just a couple of days away and I am in particular excited as Apple finally escapes the clutches of AT&T over to another carrier. But that’s not what we are interested in talking about here as MuscleNerd mentioned of Geohot might be releasing the latest untethered jailbreak. This will most probably be announced on February 2, the same day Verizon announces the Verizon iPhone.
Pod2g announced a short while back about what has been happening recently amongst the developers. Apparently Pod2g has been working together with Onaj and p0sixninja on an untethered jailbreak for the iOS 4.2.1. The problem is the video shared doesn’t really demonstrate if this is untethered jailbreak is based on the bootrom exploit or is userland based.
I recall us talking about the SHAtter bootrom Jailbreak that had been put off thanks to the Limera1n jailbreak tool by Geohot. The SHAtter exploit, despite all the secrecy has been leaked. The exploit is reported to enable users to jailbreak the next generation of iOS devices including the upcoming iPhone 5 and the iPad 2.
