Food is an addiction for sure. I might not indulge in eating all the great dishes from different regions of the world but I love knowing about them, how are they prepared, what people have to say about the, etcetera. While that might have been tough a decade back the boom in the Internet space has definitely made all this a lot easier. You have sites or portals helping you with learning the best of different regions, be it their culture, language or even food and experts in different categories are leveraging this to their benefit.

2010 is gone and it has been quite an eventful year for our Blog and myself in particular. Before I go any further I would like to thank all our readers and followers on numerous social networking sites for helping us grow strong year on year. I think if I am to continue writing in this manner it wont really make much sense.
I would like to first admit one thing that Startup Meme has kept its content varying to cater to varying needs of our readers. Many have complained about this variation in content time and again, but I bet those of you who have been with us from Day 1 know that we started with a team of writers initially before there was a split and it all came down to me as being the only writer here. The pressure to keep the pace ticking, technology news coming regularly and as varied as it was in the initial days has made me write on anything I find interesting at a given moment. Of course it is impossible to cover all the news on the Web or making way into my Twitter stream or emails, something I have tried my best to perform at but it adds more pressure.
I have attended many lectures half asleep back in the university days and I can bet that many others have done the same. The reason is plain and simple, the classes were boring. Of course no one wants music or dancing around but teachers need to make the classrooms and lectures more engaging. How?
I seriously don’t need to tell how this can be done provided the numerous tools available for all of us to use. Top Hat Monocle is one such startup that provides a tool for instructors to use in the classroom to make lectures more engaging for students. The platform let’s them conduct polls, quizzes, and interactive demonstrations in class. With Top Hat Monocle lets students can participate using pretty much any device they have, for example their smartphones; iPhone, iPad, iPod, or laptop. This creates an extremely engaging learning environment for the students that aren’t limited by outdated "clicker" hardware.
