It as only yesterday that we reported the rumors of the upcoming Google Nexus Two from Samsung and today Gizmodo, as always confirmed the Android 3.0, Gingerbread based smartphone from Samsung. Many might be thinking why Google didn’t go with HTC? Much like it did with the Nexus One, but honestly speaking, Samsung’s Galaxy S’ had done remarkably well with its powerful hardware, leaving little doubt as to why Google opted for Samsung.

I bet quite a lot of you must have used the Google Nexus One? Rumors are growing strong on the Google Nexus Two which is reported to be announced next month on November 8. And here’s shocker, the Android based smartphone will not be manufactured by the seasoned HTC, which leaves Samsung to be the one managing the hardware bit.
The rumor has the backing of many reliable sources to make it believable. In my opinion the move was pretty obvious primarily because of the much appreciated Samsung Galaxy S which alone sold over 5 million of its devices. The reason for such a massive success was the Galaxy S’ extremely powerful hardware [though I seriously hate Samsung phones]. Coming over to the device specifications, the Nexus Two will have:
The Apple line of music devices has been great, I personally own an iPod and trust me there is nothing comparable to the quality of picture and sound on it. Though I am not a totally music person, that was one device in the recent times I bought specifically for music. But challengers are coming in, primarily for Apple, we have the Android challenging its iOS devices with high end smartphones, the iPad competitors in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the BlackBerry PlayBook. While that was not all, Samsung has come out with the iPod Touch challenger, the Samsung Galaxy Player.
To many Steve Jobs is the godfather of the modern day smartphones and powerful technology that makes its way from the caves of Cupertino. Apple has transformed how consumers conceive mobile devices, laptops in fact has infused a brand new culture in the tech scene. I wont be wrong to say that Steve Jobs is the man who has taken the idea of smartphone devices from Nokia, HP and Dell [handheld tablets, etc] top bring us the iPod Touch for music [initially], iPhone 2G, 3G/3GS and the iPhone 4, and only recently the iPad. If you have ever used the iPad, you will see how Apple has amalgamated everything into this 9.7 inch powerful device.
Of course competitors have jumped in, of course there will be some challenge from other manufacturers both in the hardware and the software. But despite all this, all my disliking for the cult of Apple, I must admit it has superiority over others. Steve Jobs knows this, he might have been going overboard with the Antennagate issue but his recent ripping off of the Android platform from Google and the plethora of the upcoming Android and non-Android tablets is quite justified. We have the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the RIM BlackBerry with its PlayBook but I bet they will leave something desired. The 7 inch Galaxy Tab by Samsung is a lost cause between the Smartphone and the iPad. Why would someone want to own a device that is large enough to not fit into a pocket yet small enough to disable easy readability? That’s just my opinion for I would rather buy the iPad with an excellent hardware only because of the larger size.
I am not sure what Apple was like before the advent of the iPhone but since its release in 2007, things have changed big time. To call this a change is undermining the success of the smartphone, it has revolutionized what mobile had been. The iPhone is one major reason why Apple is worth more than Microsoft. Such is the command of the iPhone that the device is actually used as standard to which the performance of other smartphones is measured.
I absolutely dislike Samsung mobiles. Even the Galaxy S running on my favorite Android OS. They just don’t give you that feel of a smartphone, perhaps Samsung isn’t really best with mobile devices but this iPad killer looks deadly impressive.
I bet everyone has seen politicians playing the blame-game in every state instead of correcting their wrongs. And I bet this is common in other sectors too. Well only recently the great Steve jobs demonstrated that by going cheap and finding the antenna issues on other smartphones, rather trying to accept and promising to correct the issue on the iPhone 4.
Here comes another one from Samsung as the mobile manufacturer announced the release of its latest Android based smartphone: Galaxy Spica. Quite a name to go with Android and gives it quite a Galactic combination. The device has a powerful 800 MHz processor and with DivX support it makes it the firs of its kind, that along with the 3.2 inch screen would make it worthy to watch videos on the go. I guess the winning aspect to it is the expandable memory which can work around with up to a 32 GB card and WiFi to go along. The device is available in many countries across Asia and Europe but no word on US markets at present.
