The courts are throwing in a lot of fines on firms as Rapidshare got its share of it today. The Regional Court in Hamburg, Germany fined the file hosting service with a massive $34 million. The case was filed by GEMA, a copyright protection association that represents more than 65,000 artists, composers across the globe. Along with the fine, Rapidshare will also have to remove more than 5,000 tracks and make sure none of these are uploaded by users.
