One of America’s largest podcaster and multimedia news organization, NPR has jumped into the iPhone age with the release of its News App for the device. The app is going to be the first of its kind for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, giving users a chance to read, browse or listen to news stories. The app uses zip code or the location based technology to help users locate the closest NPR station, search by station or programs and connect to more than 1 thousand live or on demand streams. The app also lets users customize playlists to help them organize their favorite programs and stories.
