Lets face it, when it comes to screen display, Android phones are no way close to the screen quality that you get on the iPhone. And with iPhone 4 and it’s Retina display many of the top Android based phones from numerous manufacturers have been left behind. The screen resolutions on all the top models, including the HTC Desire HD, Evo 4G, Nexus One and the Samsung Galaxy S are all limited to 800 by 480 pixels, it isn’t bad, but it leaves a lot desired, especially when you have used the Apple iPhone for a couple of hours.

The web is abuzz with the coming of the promised Windows Phone 7, though I guess I will never be a fan of the mobile operating system from Microsoft, even if they offered me numerous Xbox 360 titles on the Windows Phone 7. Why? Well the major reason being I doubt the availability of apps, but that might just change a bit, since the firm is planning to released the SDK for the Windows Phone 7. This would be coming to us by 16 September.
So will we be seeing the coming of a lot of apps before holidays? If that happens, the Windows Phone 7 might just have something worth the money for those who expect something from Microsoft’s OS.
Looks like this month is going to be filled with news about new phones every other day. We have reported about the possibility of the next generation of iPhone, the much anticipated Palm Pre releasing just two days before Apple’s WWDC and today we came across news about Nokia pushing one out too. The manufacturer is set to release N97, its first touch screen device in the N-Series that runs on the 5th edition of the S60 OS. It will be interesting to see how each one performs in the markets, both in terms of usability and sales, though the iPhone 3, will most likely grab away all attention, there is little doubt that Nokia N97 might just perform better in terms of pieces sold in the International market. I just hope it gets a much better response and doesn’t experience a fail like its Ovi store did.
After planning everything out to mar (supposedly) Apple’s WWDC and the possibility of a new iPhone, the Palm Pre, the manufacturers are boasting the phones ability to sync with content on iTunes. The device will be able to access users content on iTunes and iPhotos. But there is a barrier to syncing when it comes to restricted content. The Pre is tipped in to keep Palm afloat in the market which is dominated by the iPhone and it will take more than just syncing features/ability to make a difference for the manufacturers.
