image thumb63 Google Voice Now Available For Everyone – Let One Number Represent All

Google sure has taken all the time it could before expanding its Google Voice service beyond specific regions and users to everyone. There have been controversies of course, with Apple playing it ugly by blocking the Google Voice App for the iPhone and the latest reports of Google being sued for patent violations by Frontier Corporations. This isn’t new for Google and it wont stop it from finally rolling the service out for the masses.

Google has been up and about with its Voice service, introducing its mobile web application, its voice mail player integrated with Gmail. image thumb49 Yahoo Mail gets even better: Easier photo sharing and file uploads up to 25MB

Yahoo has finally rolled out it new Yahoo Mail’s enhanced layout for all after weeks it was initially announced. I personally found it better than the previous layout, especially the much streamlined photo sharing feature and better social features. Yahoo has taken quite a jump by increasing the attachment size from 10MB to 25 MB. Those are just a couple of features and there must be more improvements accompanying the change, I don’t use Yahoo, which means I won’t have an idea of what exactly are the other new features.

image thumb125 Gmail’s climbing.. Yahoo needs to do something about its Mail

Gmail has really gone far with adding more features which make it ever more useful. Seriously I loved Hotmail a lot and i thought I would never give it up, but for almost a year now I have been using Gmail. The growth rate of Gmail has many worried, especially Yahoo, which seems to be trying to improve its Webmail with more updates coming up. We aren’t sure what those updates are but they will most probably be focused at making its ad populated interface a bit better and improve handling. Plus there is always the Yahoo Messenger that can always be played around with. I guess what Yahoo needs to do is try and integrate newer technologies when it acquires startups and other services, all this is only going to help it out as users will be able to get more right from Yahoo. I am always left confused as to why Yahoo finds it difficult to integrate all those despite knowing the fact that it can make its Mail better doing so.

While long weekends might be good for refreshing one self up they obviously have one miss out important news. One such news was MySpace Mail that went live earlier. The service goes live after almost a year in works and it’s good to see MySpace adding another dimension to the many it has already. As had been said earlier, MySpace Mail will surface as a major webmail service with a many as 20% of its 130 million users will have access to it. Let’s hope it places it at number two in another race as well.
