We have talked about how to jailbreak your PS3 using HTC Desire and it was fun to do. But Desire is now old school since the release of the newer Desire Z and Desire HD alongside HD2. Hence for those of you who own a Sony PlayStation 3 and the HD2, there’s some god news, you can use HD2 to jailbreak or downgrade your PS3.

Earlier today I talked about the MuscleNerd tip on jailbreaking the untethered way on the iOS 4.2.1. However we have got more news of other developers speeding up the for the same. Only recently Comex, the brains behind JailbreakMe and Spirit has confirmed the coming of an all new untethered jailbreak procedure before Christmas.
Home Screen orientation with the iPhone models is quite a disappointment for me, especially compared to the iPad. But, those of you jailbroken iPhones can readily resolve this with a new tweak from Cydia called the SBRotator. The app can be found at the Big Boss repository for $1.99.
It is always fun to have images jumping next to text messages from your contacts, makes it a bit more interactive in my opinion. That’s not a possibility though, not my on Android or on the iPhone. However those with a jailbroken iPhone can readily enable this via ChatPic, a new jailbreak tweak.
ChatPic enables you to view images of your contact next to the text message. This of course requires your contact to have a picture associated, it does sync with Facebook photos to make this easy. Don’t be surprised if you aren’t able to see the apps’ icon on the home-screen since it is integrated in the iPhone settings and can be enabled right from settings.
Whether someone knows what good does having HD recording capability means for video recording or not it definitely sounds cool to have. Especially if you have the new iPod Touch 4G which sadly doesn’t have that. The absence of HD capability means you can’t take widescreen photos with your device.
While the white iPhone 4 might be a rumor for good our friends across the blogosphere and on Twitter just confirmed that the iPhone 3G / 3GS unlock for all baseband will be rolled the coming Sunday. This release will be come accompanied with the Ultrasn0w update.
However there is one sad news, this unlock will only be available for the iPhone 3G and 3GS on iOS 4.2.1 [all basebands] users, meaning those with the iPhone 4 will have to wait a bit longer. We aren’t sure when exactly is this coming, but it will be soon enough I suppose. The news of the release was recently confirmed by the iPhone Dev Team’s MuscleNerd:
I at times feel like installing Apple’s iOS on my Android based HTC Desire but never really had the guts to try and commit a suicide [for any reason] but for those of you with an iPhone 2G or 3G can at least take a shot an installing Android Froyo on their device. Trust me it isn’t difficult as you expect and all you need is a jailbroken iPhone to have it powered by Android 2.2.1.
This method uses the Bootlace 2.1 and to make things simpler, know that it is only compatible with the following iPhone devices, the versions of the iOS and the jailbreak tools:
We reported only a while back of Apple seeding the Gold Master release of the iOS 4.2 for developers. The good news is that the existing version of the Redsn0w based on the Limera1n exploit by Geohot is fully capable of jailbreaking all Apple devices based on the iOS 4.2.
