George Hotz or more the more popularly known Geohot is readying to give us another jailbreak tool and it might be called Rubyra1n. The iPhone hacker had also registered a domain by the same name back in March, which is a big enough proof to believe this rumor.

Give it a break guys, at least don’t have Apple worrying about its iPod Nano being Jailbroken or having chances of getting this done. I can try and say what I want to but it won’t help the cause. James Whelton, a developer has managed to find a flaw in the device and has hacked the 6th generation iPod nano. The hack bypasses cache compression and enables users to create blank space with the installation of Springboard hack.
What this simply means is that users will be able to see more features being added to their otherwise simple music playing device. These would include Apps, Games, Movies, Calendars, etc. I must however clarify that Whelton has not yet jailbroken the device as well as there is no root access on the iPod Nano. However the progress that has been made has all the possibilities of a iPod Nano jailbreak coming soon. From Whelton’s blog: Read More »
With developers there is no believing what they might come up with or not. I have been following a few posts from our new blogger, mohsin especially in connection to the untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak. Some updates are that Comex has indeed turned down the chances of the untethered jailbreak coming out this Christmas. However there is some hope even now.
I recall us talking about the SHAtter bootrom Jailbreak that had been put off thanks to the Limera1n jailbreak tool by Geohot. The SHAtter exploit, despite all the secrecy has been leaked. The exploit is reported to enable users to jailbreak the next generation of iOS devices including the upcoming iPhone 5 and the iPad 2.
There should always be an easy way to do what takes quite an effort an jailbreaking an iOS device is troublesome. Especially for those of you who think it requires all those coding skills thanks to the disclaimers of we aren’t responsible if you brick your iPhone. Don’t be afraid, MuscleNerd confirmed a short while back that the next version of Redsn0w will have an option for one click untethering.
Sheriff Hashim has hinted at the unlock for the iPhone 4 on iOS4.2.1 will be coming for users after Christmas. To put it more appropriately, we might have this by January, 2011. Sheriff Hashim is an iPhone Baseband hacker and an Egyptian Neurosurgeon, Hashim doing brainy work, somehow doesn’t surprise me.
What good is an Apple device if developers don’t have a method to jailbreak those devices? Today NitoTV has released the unofficial PwnageTool bundle that will jailbreak your Apple TV 2G running the iOS 4.2.1 firmware. This would would work quite effectively with the existing version of the PwnageTool, though you would need the tethered boot for this.
