We might have Apple working on what could possibly be a web based diagnostic tool for the numerous iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. Oh and of course the Macs and the iMacs too. I think all the hints at the iCloud, indicate the importance of the similar service, who likes heading over o the Genius Bar to get your iPhone 4 fixed?

As rumored earlier Skype has officially released the video calling functionality for all iOS Devices. This includes your iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. The version 3.0 of the app will support video calling capabilities with users of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the 4th Generation iPod Touch.
The latest version has support for the iPod Touch 3G and the iPad too. But since both devices lack a front facing camera, therefore you can receive video calls but can’t send a video back. The Skype app for the iOS device also supports video calls over 3G and can also receive calls from the traditional desktop Skype App. So you can communicate at ease with anyone back at home while you travel. The app also supports portrait and landscape mode.
It was reported yesterday about James Whelton of NanoHack.me managed to hack the 6th Generation of iPod Nano. The developer has managed to give us more news with his step by step guide on how to remove apps and add spaced to the iPod Nano 6G.
The Apple Music Event is just short of a few hours and knowing that we have been talking about it a lot for the last couple of weeks. But we can’t help but talk more. Primarily because news and rumors will keep popping out until Steve Jobs takes the stage and starts off disclosing things or products at the event. You can watch the Live Stream at Apple.
The Live event starts streaming at 10:00 AM PT but it will only be available for Mac users. Meaning this would require Mac running the Snow Leopard or a device running the iOS 3.0 or higher. I am not surprised given that only Apple lovers will be interested in watching the stream more than their PC counterparts. However in my opinion it’s quite a poor tactic, of course I understand we must consider ourselves lucky that Apple has changed its tradition and actually throwing up a Live Coverage, but why deprive others? Anyways that’s Apple’s own decision and I know it wont hurt them to not stream this to PC users.
The Apple Music Event is just a few hours away and we are, as always we are both sure and unsure of a few things coming our way today. The entire Web has been streaming with news, rumors about the iPod Touch 4s, etc in association to what is coming. Starting from the most pointless of Lady Gaga to start in new Apple Commercials, all the way to a useful extension of preview length for tracks on iTunes. There can a lot more or many might just be left disappointed, though the probability is low.
I thought of jotting down a few expectations that I have in connection to today’s event. Thought I would share what might be coming our way, beginning with:
Every has spent a countless hours on Google searching for results on how to jailbreak iPhone 4 and the iPad? Before an exploit in the iOS 4.0.1 enabled users of the iPhone 4 to jailbreak the iPhone via a browser with JailbreakMe. That method was for every device running the iOS 4.0.1. Today that changed as Apple released iOS 4.0.2 for all its devices; which include the iPhones, iPod touch and the iPad running iOS 3.2.2.
Of course many out there would already be googling how to jailbreak the iPhone running on iOS 4.0.2, but no need. A simpler method is you simply don’t update the operating system at all, well at least as long as you can, since it is not automated. But before you become a renegade and hit cancel on the update window, be warned that you might also be putting your security at risk.
Facebook has released a new version for its application [download link] for the iPod Touch, iPhone and the iPad. I don’t need to explain what the application will do, given that it’s all about the leading social network that close to 500 million people are actively a part of. With this, you will be able to use be hooked to the social network on the go, more importantly on your favorite Apple device.
The latest feature included in the application is the ability to let users view Facebook videos right within the application, which was previously missing. Has anyone of you used the application on your device? How’s the experience with it?
A large population on the Web uses smart phones to access it, be they Google’s Android phones, BlackBerry or the beloved iPhone. The uses vary from simply performing search, checking emails, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to playing games. However businesses and brands have leveraged the developers population by getting apps to assist their functioning, one such example LeaseTrader, a portal that assists people trade their leased cars.
Of course there must be a countless apps out there but the top 5 for the purpose are:
Whenever you are angered or enraged at anything and the War can’t be fought face to face, the best place then is Facebook. Forget support for a good cause and be mean; rally your supporters against the tyranny of one or many, bring it on Facebook Adobe has done that, unofficially.
Given the latest development in the Adobe/Apple saga and Steve Jobs’ harsh words and an iron will to never let Adobe come close to any product of Apple: iPad, iPhone and… the iPad. You heard or should I say read it right – Never. The war from Adobe has come to Facebook and its fans are already cursing Apple for the dictatorial and the anti-competitive methodology it has adopted. Why so? Wouldn’t that actually help Apple get the big grab on in the market if it makes use of the platform? More developers mean more options for its consumers and an even bigger market the only and sadly the major risk involved is that Apple would have had to compromise on its hegemony over its hardware. Obviously that is quite huge sacrifice to make.
