If you are one of those in the United Kingdom and happen to own Samsung Galaxy S on Android 2.1 from T-Mobile you need to praise the supreme beings at T-Mobile to release Froyo today. It has definitely taken longer and a definite test of patience comes to an end. However don’t be too happy as T-Mobile has given a disclaimer that they will try their best to release it today. More wait? I hope not!

But I guess it really won’t matter much since users will only have to wait an extra day if T-Mobile does fail to release it on the date mentioned. You will however be able to update your Samsung Galaxy S to Android 2.2 aka Froyo via the KIES the following day.

Trust me it isn’t difficult as you expect and all you need is a jailbroken iPhone to have it powered by Android 2.2.1.

I mean iPhone 4 can cost you a good $1,000 and the cheapest Android Handset from HTC would be $350 plus. These phones, being really worth the price aren’t one meant for everyone’s pocket. Remember we talked yesterday about running the Android 2.2 [Froyo] lock screen on your Droid X with Android 2.1?Including other reports of leaked ROM? Well it appears that Motorola has got sniff of that and is taking action.

The cell phone manufacturer has asked  sites like MyDroidWorld, and others to take down leaked files immediately. So fret not or curse the communities for having broken links to installation files given they have been pulled down. You can still probably Google for existing mirrors which might just be having the Froyo version. Though it’s highly improbable you will find one.

Reports of the leaked version of Android 2.2 aka Froyo have been running rampant across the Web. The version has a few bugs and wouldn’t be recommended to replace the much stable version 2.1 of the Google mobile Operating System.

Whatever be the issues with it, I personally love the Lock screen, it looks much better than the traditional  Android Lock and Silent option we see. Not really like the Apple iPhone but quite close to it. Oops, there I go again with the comparison. Lets get back to the lock screen for now.
