It seems like ages when I last talked about Google and its upcoming social network. I came across a post from MG Siegler and thought what exactly is the name of this new project of Google? We have been hearing for long that it is been called Google Me. But I suppose folks back at Google are working under codenames for now, which isn’t all that surprising given that almost all ideas are worked upon with codenames prior to finalizing the concept.

Facebook recently released an update for the Facebook for Android at the Facebook Mobile Event. We were anticipating a rumored Facebook phone, but it appears that Mark Zuckerberg and team thought to keep it for some time later, or maybe it was never meant to be. However coming back to the Facebook for Android, the update has finally brought quite a lot of needed features for the social network users on their Android smartphones.
Facebook Mobile might be in the making! If this rumor is by any means true, I guess it is decided that every big firm is following the donkey path out there. Apple made it big with its iOS devices in the form of the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. Google extended further from being the Web giant to taking over the mobile scene with its Android Platform, Microsoft too getting their butt kicked to totally revamp their Windows Mobile to Windows Phone 7,. bringing in a much refined product. Oh and I almost forgot the Android Tablet to compete the iPad, RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook and what not.
Do you like Facebook and love hitting the Like button wherever you see it then be warned. Reports are coming in about two more scams catching air on the largest social network.
As always these scams should be picked up by anyone who is remotely intelligent but just in case if you are one of those trigger happy intelligent Facebook users just keep an eye on these. The first scam, pictured below is of a man doing something terrible to a girl and the image shows a guy pulling the hair of a girl who is on ground. When you hit the link you are taken to a new page, that would display a video player. If you do click on the video player you are wont see any video but your news feed is filled with gibberish.
Numbers always add more weight to your claims than just saying you are the leader in a certain category. I mean you can be a leader amongst losers around you? But lets not make this a lecture of some sort and come to the comScore’s monthly report for August which reveals stats on online video data in the US.
A whopping 178 million people watched online video content at an average 14.3 hours per viewer. Though the total number has remained unchanged and Google sites still lead with a massive 146 million unique viewers it gives me great joy to share Facebook climbing to number two. It had over 58 million unique viewers compared to Yahoo which it surpassed with 53 million plus viewers. Facebook rightly deserves this and Yahoo shouldn’t even be there at all. Honestly I didn’t ever knew that Yahoo even had a video site!
Forbes has released the list of worlds 400 richest men in the United States. I am not going to waste time telling Bill Gates is still the richest man worth $54 Billion. The interesting name in the list, albeit the obvious inclusion is the 26 year old Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. And while I may have nothing in common with him we both hate the iPhone.
