Is this a new update coming up on Facebook? I mean the call feature? Is Mark Zuckerberg ensuring that his social network is head on with competing against the likes of Google, Skype, etc.
The button is available on a few profiles and it most definitely is there for the inclusion of the voice chat feature. We only recently reported about HTC releasing 2 Facebook phones by next month and having this feature included would make more sense. We will get back on this later in detail so stay tuned.
There were rumors on the release of the Facebook Phone set to make a release soon. It just turned out that this rumor might very well be true as reports roll out of HTC in work to launch the same.
The largest social network, Facebook found its mojo last year with a mammoth growth, in userbase, revenue and all the way out of the Web to Hollywood with a movie; The Social Network. Today reports of its shares and further valuation are all across the Web.
Echofon, the Twitter Phone has been acquired by PostUp, which in my opinion is a fair deal as the Twitter app has over 3 million users. Echofon was also one of the first Twitter apps to introduce User Streams and has been quite a popular Twitter client.
I somehow find it more interesting to share infographic on numbers and trends and I bet many of our readers have come across numerous graphs. The most recent caught my eye on what platform are people using the most on the Web for sharing.
Not surprisingly Facebook takes the lead here and I am not at all surprised with the stats released by AddThis, a widget that you see installed across numerous sites to make sharing across numerous platforms easy. The AddThis widget is installed across 7 million plus domains and has support for over 300 services. According to the latest trends released over 44% of all sharing activity online occurs on Facebook, which is over 33% what it was last year.
I use my Twitter ID to signup on numerous sites that enable me to sign up with a social profile. I guess its quite a norm as nobody wants to spend time signing up for these sites and remembering another UserID or Password. Well that’s problematic for me at least.
$1 Billion revenue or a $4 Billion evaluation, all are a thing of past as new rumors break out of Facebook expected to generate around $2 Billion for 2010. If I am not wrong and if this by any means is true Facebook has more than doubled its revenue it generated in 2009. That is phenomenal, but not unexpected at least for me.
The social network has more than 500 million users and that continues to grow as more people fall prey to the intricate web of this platform. We have seen how Mark Zuckerberg and his team has taken Facebook from being a social place to a booming business with some bright strategy. Facebook’s virtual currency, advertizing, etc has had a gargantuan impact on the business of the network itself. For any business or advertiser it is a haven serving over 50 billion ads a month and that number is expected to reach a trillion by the year’s end.
The picture explains quite a lot and there is no need to make a news out of this. As in loads of text. Wish someone really had the brains time to waste spend on seeing what the dots connect to make. I couldn’t for I am dumb but hey, why are we connected if everyone has to work individually?

Yesterday we shared a big news on the redesign of the Facebook profile when Mark Zuckerberg made appearance on the 60 minutes show. I was wondering what this redesign is going to be like and if we will see a backlash. Yeah, expect that just like it has happened in the past as users have taken time to adjust to the social network’s redesign attempts and even complained a lot.
Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has surprised us a bit with his appearance on 60 Minutes. The best bit is the young billionaire disclosed the exclusive preview of the new design of the social network.
