The social networking site, Facebook appears to be crumbling under the weight of 500 Million plus users that share enormous data on the site. I was first messaged regarding this outage a couple of hours back but it was working at my end, but not anymore. I have been trying this since morning and it appears there are sporadic outages with Google’s Gmail. The horrendous server error keeps popping in the window every few minutes. The issue is primarily coming in with the sign-in page and for is working fine for those who are logged in. Not sure what exactly is the reason but I have been experiencing it for the last hour or so.
While one can fully understand a temporary outage for a few minutes or two is digestible but it is quite a norm with Gmail. While this could be just another random issue waiting to be resolved, I am sure there is a huge population out there who must be having similar issues [though I hope not].

There have been some major issues with Facebook in the past hour or so. I have had my stream filled with updates from people complaining about the same. I haven’t personally encountered any errors yet and it’s working up on some other issues or introducing new features to create more confusion.
I have no idea about this and I would really appreciate if our readers can update us on the issue. Perhaps the social network got the news about 1.5 Million profiles on Sale by a hacker and they are up and about to do something about it. Whatever the issue be in less than 10 minutes the whole of Twitter is screaming with panic [follow hashtag #facebook, #fb, or @smohkim for updates]

Is Facebook still undergoing issues with downtime and DDOS? I was using my account without any issues since yesterday but now it appears that I have been denied access as well. The reason is that the site is undergoing maintenance, great. Half my colleagues can access it and I am left staring at the screen, Facebook people if you are reading this please give me back my access.
