Investors will invest in a service that’s pretty successful amongst users and Boxee is pretty well known. The service has raised $6 million in second round of funding. The round was led by General Catalyst Partners and the cash raised will be used to expand the service further and hire fresh blood. I understand that it’s quite successful but the space between its two rounds of funding is a mere eight months. The startup is still looking to push its software’s beta version which has been in the tests for quite a long time. Boxee’s board will also be welcoming General Catalyst’s Neil Sequeira to take seat.
