BberryApp, a group of IT professionals have brought forth a new app for the BlackBerry phones which lets you forward, reply and edit emails. The app is given the same name; Forward, Reply and Edit.  Users can fix common errors like spelling mistakes, add/delete content and add comments to any emails you receive on your device. The app has already been downloaded close to 7,000 times in less than ten days, which is pretty good to start with.

It’s obvious that BlackBerry‘s App World isn’t off to a flyer with a mere 2,000 apps compared to the App Store’s 50,000. That is added to the agony of the users of the device who find the App World extremely difficult to navigate through and with issues with many apps. BlackBerry is taking a serious note of all this and plans to launch its very own social network; MyBlackBerry. Each owner of the BlackBerry device will have their own profile and can provide feedback and share opinion on the devices themselves as well as about apps and how to improve the App World. The idea is definitely a nice one, a platform for consumers let out everything about their BlackBerry devices and I bet there’s going to be a lot of that once it goes live tomorrow.

It will be harsh to write BlackBerry App World off by comparing it to Apple’s App Store, why? Because it’s fairly new and it’s steadily growing as it crossed 2,000 apps for its devices. The App Store is in a different league given its immense growth in the last year and the highly profitable business it has turned out for the developers out there. Research in Motion is definitely going to have a tough time getting close to competing with the App Store but it will grow enough to be a part of the race.
