Windows Live’s FolderShare, a tool for keeping folders synchronized across multiple computers and multiple platforms. FolderShare although in beta for now, doesn’t show signs of any bugs that are found in most betas. FolderShare is available on both PC and Mac, allows you to send a file from one computer to another, simply done by dropping it into a folder. You can create new folders to share, and change a folder from manual sync to automatic sync is just as simple as a click. Although the Mac version has a little more to it, with on-the-fly options, as users are allowed to change the computer name, toggle encryption, and manage their transfer logs.
Windows users can also change their computer name online, but there are certain boundaries related, as the desktop client limits them to configure proxy settings and ports. For users (like me!) who leave their computers on all the time, it’s a nice tool to have.
