Talk about crazy ideas, this one is a killer. Women rallying in on Facebook to challenge clerics when they say that shameless women are the cause of Earthquakes. Talk about being brave and committed to prove a point, I am thoroughly impressed by this group.

Despite trying my best to not talk about this act which can very well make me a part of this, I couldn’t resist myself and had to jump over to investigate it further. The Info tab had quite some interesting information on it:

Help fight supernatural thinking and the oppression of women, just by showing your cleavage.

Okay, aren’t there any better ways to prove them wrong? I understand what waves could a claim as harsh and blaming cause in the minds of the absolutely open minded women who want to fight tooth and nail to to preserve freedom and equal rights for women. The claim by Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi

Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes

I would have been pissed off as well had some person stated that blogging causes Political Earthquakes/Rifts and that all blogging be banned. But seriously asking women to unite and show cleavage just to prove a point they themselves call supernatural/superstitious? Give me a break! There are more rational ways to counter all this but revealing body not for the sake of getting women freedom, but only to prove one man wrong is simply arrogant.

The woman behind the movement; Jennifer McCreight initiated this as a fun way to go about mocking the cleric. But little did she know that many out there would take it to be real to vent out their anger. She had more than 80,000 followers and the fan page as of now has over 52,000 Likes.

May all angels bear witness that I haven’t clicked Like on the page and I am not a part of this movement.
