The nature of blogging causes a gap in communication, usually causing details to be left out or fall into the category of mis-reporting. GooseGrade made a survey on the topic and found that these errors actually leave an impact on the success of a blogger. The survey included responses from approx. 200 people, the majority of whom said that they often find errors on blogs, making it less likely to share with other readers. The survey was filled-out by a group taken from Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. The respondents were regular readers of blogs, and reported that most have spelling and grammatical errors. Whereas occurrences of factual errors (only 20% said that this was not often or never) are also common.
While this survey is based on facts, we at Startup Meme try our best to provide quality material to our readers. We can only better our blogs with your comments and pointing out our errors, so please feel free (although a few praises won’t hurt).
