Startup ‘Innography’ raises $6.5 million in Series A

Innography_LogoAustin, Texas based startup, Innography, has raised an amount of $6.5 million in the Series A of funding. The startup assist companies for organizing their intellectual property. The round was lead by Austin Ventures and the participants include Hunt Ventures who were the seed investors.

The intellectual property business intelligence software was launched by Innography as a service (SaaS) platform in 2007.

According to the startup, the major benefits of the startup according to the customers are:

  • Generating new, qualified prospects for revenue-producing licensing activities.
  • Obtaining real-time technology portfolio information to assist in evaluating M&A candidates.
  • Discovering previously unknown points of exposure to IP litigation.
  • Accessing technology and competitive information to identify emerging market opportunities, trends and threats.
  • Improving the strength and marketability of new patent ideas.
