A new course is being offered at Stanford lately: CS193P, the iPhone Application Programming. Students from the Fall 2008 batch have come up with a few fresh iPhone apps, some of which are up on the App Store, and some are on the way. Here’s a list of the eight so far:

  • Abodi (Free) – developed by Keyan Salari, is a client for Craiglist.
  • Air Guitar ($1.99) – by James Anthony & Edward Marks, is a trainer for guitars.
  • Heydar (Free) – by Mark, Shahryar, and two Matthews, is a dating app.
  • Qingwen (Free) – by Karan Misra, is a dictionary for Chinese-English & English-Chinese words.
  • Site Saver ($2.99) – by Vikram Oberoi, is a bookmarking app.
  • HaveASec (Free) – by Nafis Jamal & Andrew He, is an app that lets you create polls.
  • iDiscover (Free) – by Paul Wilson & Nafis Jamal, lets you find new articles, videos and apps.
  • Stress Bust ($0.99) – by Greg Wientjes, where you can grab some R&R watching and listening to the ocean waves.
