Spore, a single player online game developed by Will Wright, has been criticised for their policy that allows users to install the game on only three computers at a time. According to its publisher Electronic Arts, this was done in order to prevent the game being copied illegally. If there is any user who wanted to activate the game on more than three computers, he/she has to call EA and tell them the reason for further activations.
Now the game can be installed on more than 3 computer systems. Though the California based EA says that around 75% of the gamers don’t install game on more than 1 system where as only 1% go for more than three. The game which was in the market on September 7, has gained a lot of popularity and is also considered the most pirated game ever with over 500,000 downloads via BitTorrent.
