According to stats released by the NPD Group, sales of Sony’s PS3 are down by about 19% starting from November 2007. Sony was only able to sell 378,000 of its PS3 consoles this November as compared to last year’s figure of 466,000; while Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is doing fine, and Nintendo’s Wii is going sky high.
The reasons for this steady decline must be that the PS3 is costly: $400. That’s $150 – $200 more than its rivals and makes it the most expensive console on the shelves.
