Sony is planning to cut 2,000 jobs in Japan along with shutting down two factories. Sir Howard Stringer, the company’s CEO is expected to make the announcement but the exact time is not confirmed. By next year 8,000 full time employees and 8,000 contractors will be let go. Also a TV factory in Pennsylvania and a video tape factory in France will also be closed.
