Songkick a concert recommendation engine ended its funding round that had been done up in largely in January. The exact figures of the funding have not been disclosed by SongKick’s chief executive Ian Hogarth but rumours have it that the amount could be round $1.1 million.
The service had recently planned to launch tools for assisting music lovers to discover shows they desire. The idea behind this being 70% of the music lovers aren’t lucky enough to get tips in for the visiting artist they love to hear. The site also offers an ad-network called BadSense (perhaps in response o Google’s AdSense).
The round was headed up personal investors along with Saul Klein; a founding partner of The Accelerator Group (TAG). Songkick is a London and Brooklyn, NY based company that was initially funded by Y Combinator in 2007.
