Sock and Awe, the game site which came up just after the shoe incident in Iraq, has been sold for just $7,818. During an unannounced visit to Iraq, U.S. president Bush was greeted with an unexpected shoe thrown by a journalist Muntazar Al Zaidi in a press conference. The site was created by the same people who are about to launch PopJam, a comedy site. Alex Tew who created the site, said:
We’ve spent the last three days trying to keep the servers alive and we’re meant to be working on our other main startup PopJam. So we whacked it on eBay.
Tew also said that the amount will be used to further enhance his other projects.
