Socialmention: let’s you search user generated content across the web

Sardar Mohkim Khan

image348 Socialmention: lets you search user generated content across the webHow convenient it will be if one could get real time updates on a particular topic that interests a person across the web’s social sphere, be it news, products, company and even yourself (if you are a part of news maker,a.k.a blogger). It will be of great help like many others in my area of work; the idea to enter a keyword, hit search and stay updated with the minute to minute development in the social sphere.

Socialmention is your way to getting instant updates on the topic you search for. The search can be customized the way a user would want to. That is one can search through blogs, microblogs, images, news etc or expand their search to every category. The sources for this include, Google Blog search, Twitter, Digg and the likes. What it does is pull all the news from these services and display every news in a single flow of news.

Apart from that, Social Mention enables its user to keep view of the most recent and active topics being discussed across the web. Once you click on the link on one of these, Socialmention pulls every discussion anywhere on the web and displays it in a neat manner.

It’s pretty useful service as it saves time that  might otherwise be spent at collecting/reading news from various services by visiting their blogs/sites etc. I for one like the service in particular as i can refine my updates on news search with respect to my desired interests.

You are more than welcome. I think the idea of searching the content is much better rather having them tweeted etc. Quite a lot of time one gets loads of unwanted news. Hope it stays here for the good and turns better with time

    Regards,
