We talked about Slingpage late May and how it made bookmarking and sharing the bookmarks amongst friends pretty easily. The same service is now reported to be launching its version for Firefox users.
The new version will enable around 125 million Firefox users worldwide to gain access to its social browsing platform after being pretty successful with its launch for Microsoft Internet Explorer. Firefoxers can now discover and share Web in time as less as an instant according to the press release.
The basic idea behind is to help users keep a track of their popular topics and discover Web-pages by subscribing to the Slingcast feeds. The advantage of doing this is to let the content sling directly on to your desktop; there is no limit to the number of Slingcasts you follow and with an added ability to create your own custom feeds for those who share the same taste.
The reports for its version for Firefox had been circling with the Slingpage community ever since its launch on 2nd June for the Internet Explorer. It has taken a pretty quick jump at giving out some slinging for the ever increasing Firefox user-base. Thanks Slingpage!
