Sling.com is out to compete other video portals like Joost and Hulu to enable users stream movies and television shows without a cost. The service will run on a Flash player and will be offering content from various major networks and studios like Warner, Sony and MGM. I guess Sling.com bites the cake as it will have the advantage of streaming the content it has via its hardware (Sling boxes). However it would have been much better had Sling brought out its service for machines running other OS and not just Windows.

pity that, as usual, these services are o0nly available for American users! It’s the same for the full TV shows episodes available now on Facebook and such. When will the web really be global and its content available to everyone?
