image thumb149 SlideShare – Now accepting Apple Presentation Files… Uploading Apple Keynote files was a major shortcoming of SlideShare, But the wait is over as you can now upload Keynote files directly to the service as previously users had to upload keynote presentations as PDFs, that was a hectic procedure to  share favorite keynotes.

Many users were requesting this feature on SlideShare says a rep. But one thing remains for sure, with applications like Google Docs Presentations, OpenOffice, Adobe Acrobat PDF, surely Microsoft would be in a worry as it’s PowerPoint format would not enjoy as much populace as it used to previously as now online services are taking over legacy desktop applications.

Another aspect that would be interesting is about the analytical data SlideShare would-be able to collect,. Meaning it will collect information on what number of users use PowerPoint and who use other software’s to make their Presentations. This could lead to SlideShare collaborate with appropriate partners to deliver ad’s or even beef up the system with more features to make it more powerful and what I strongly believe is that  it could eventually lead to a revenue model for SlideShare.
