image thumb87 Skype To Announce Video Calling Capabilities For iPhone At CES 2011 [Rumor]

I am still waiting for Skype for my Android based HTC Desire though almost everyone else appears to have it for their smartphones. Many a Android devices already have it and the iPhone needs no mention. Rumors today however suggest that folks at Skype might be on way to support video calls on the iPhone.

The announcement is expected to be officially made at the CES 2011. As per reports Skype will be a participant at the CES 2011 Panel discussion titled Video Calling Gets Ready for Primetime. This would of course include others too but there isn’t really a point for Skype on board if they aren’t bringing video calling to the devices, at least in my opinion.

We aren’t as yet sure if Skype really does have any plans at rolling out the video calling feature for any of the smartphone operating systems but if they do roll this one out, it will be done simultaneously for both the Android and the iPhone. I would most certainly demand appreciate that. I mean it will be a slap on what Sprint is offering with video calling facilities for Android phones. Any update on this will definitely be shared with our readers.
