We had talked about SkyGrid,the online news aggregator like Techmeme, Google News that was supposed to switch from a paid service to free. Well today it completes the phase and is now open for anyone to use. SkyGrid offers real time news updates from various sources including blogs, as well as letting readers get an idea on news that is popular (green) or not (red). Overall the service is very efficient, though if it could only provide news associated to private firms, it would definitely become a favorite, but I guess that’s going to come with time. I would still give this one a thumbs up given it’s very interactive and not dull like Techmeme (no matter how important it is).
