In a round led by Lightspeed Venture Partensm, along with last investors (Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures), Skyfire has announced a $13Million in funding.
With plans to launch the service outside the US and further developing versions for more mobile sets, the funding will be used to for the specific purposes.
Skyfire is a mobile browser in private beta at present, and according to reports; βit offers a complete PC like browsing experience on their cell-phones.β? Big words, for Opera says the same words for their Opera Mobile and Opera Mini and it will be pretty interesting to compare the two and more importantly see what Skyfire has to serve for the ever hungry consumers; who not just want a service but something that is worth their time and money.
