JS-Kit a company that eases the task of adding comments, reviews and ratings for bloggers on their site has plucked $3.6 million in its second round.

The widget industry hasn’t really clicked the  sort of success many had anticipated it to and raising that much in funding in the current scenario is no less than a miracle. Monetizing on widgets and that too when investors troubled by the crisis don’t really want to part with their money; it’s a big deal.

JS-Kit has been busy expanding its business with with partnerships involving event planning services like Evite and its acquisition talks with HaloScan. JS-Kit has over 550,000 sites and given such a massive approach it has an oppurtunity to show its data portability to its publishers and widget vendors. JS-Kit in its blog pointed out laying emphasis at focusing more on the its business development efforts, stating:

Each of these areas provides key value to all our publisher partners who can rest assured that we have the development team necessary to continue to support the products, the leadership to execute on an exciting road map and a sustainable business model to ensure the company’s success now and into the future.

It’s always determination and hard work that brings about success; given their belief we look forward to JS-Kit plucking some more funding and expanding further.
