Showtime, a Cable based TV Network, is now expanding its online presence by launching a new site – Join Showtime, which features full length TV shows and other exclusive footage in addition to having community features. Showtime has recruited Brightcove for streaming the videos. CBS, the parent company of Showtime has also recently re-launched TV.com with similar features as the ones now being unveiled on Showtime. The final goal behind all this is to lure as many users as possible into becoming paid subscribers to the network.
