For those of us who have been hanging around wit SendMeRss for sending their content will have to switch over to some other subscription platform. The reason for this being NBC’s decision to shut down the concerned service that they had acquired last year.
The purpose of shutting it down still remains locked in the management’s head and it’s quite astonishing as to why the service met with such fate. I recall this to be the first of its kind in changing the way content is syndicated. Any reasons?

Let me start by apologizing. I never imagined that NBC would screw all their users when I sold them the website. I’m thoroughly embarrassed and beg your forgiveness. This is the worst nightmare of my life.

I know how embarassing it might sound Morin. But then as you said, i must have been impossible to imagine NBC pulling off the plug and leaving the valued customers lost in the middle of no where.

Thanks for your understanding.

Big companies mess everything up.

Quite disappointing, and they didn’t even give us a chance to export our list of feeds!
So far I’ve lost around 50 feeds.

I lost all my subscriptions as well. Stupid company is as stupid company does. I won’t use any of their webs again.

at first, the website redirected to a message saying this was a temporary outage. I figured it would come back, but now it’s two months later. What’s next? Will they cancel out favorite shows without warning?

Does anyone know of a good alternative. I embedded the SendMeRSS widget on my website, so subscribers could get my feed via e-mail… suggestions are welcome. thanks

If you are looking for a widget, then try FeedBurner.

On May 20th, my 40th birthday, I will release Reblinks.com. That’s the new RMail SendmeRSS. It buggy works right now in alpha. We sent 35 emails yesterday. Going for 10,000 my months end.

SendMeRSS can back online briefly this morning. It’s back down. Could NBC be re-launching?

The old http://www.r-mail.org website has been active now for several days. Doesn’t appear to work though.
