Semantinet, a startup that wants to make your browsing experiences more meaningful by using semantic technologies, has raised $3.4 million in first round of funding. The participating investors included Giza Venture Capital and three angels: Ronald Cohen of Apax Partners, Joseph vardi of ICQ and Jeff Pulver of Vonage.
The announcement is interesting in a sense that its a lot of fluff without much stuff. VentureBeat has put it lightly by saying that:
There aren’t many details yet on what Semantinet’s product will look like. The company has only said that it is working on “software enabling the discovery of new information as part of the natural browsing experience.
However, Inquisitr is not as polite on it and have termed it the World’s most mysterious 2.0 tool. They also decided to do some digging on this one and managed to found some unlinked pages on Semnatinet site that reveals a great deal more than what has been disclosed in the Press Release.
I am posting a snapshot of the page below, just in case they decide to pull it off.
